“As an enthusiast of both international law and art, I was naturally drawn to the captivating and innovative project by Prof. Elvira Pushkareva ‘Painting International Law.’ This project attempted to visualize some of the emerging challenges of international law through art.
Hosted by HIAS, this exhibition proved to be a remarkable fusion of legal thinking and artistic creativity that left an indelible mark on my understanding of both realms. Each piece tells a distinct story, transcending mere canvases to explore the complex nuances human rights, international environmental law, international humanitarian law, among others.
I was struck by the seamless blend of legal concepts and visual aesthetics, and I welcomed the opportunity to discuss with Prof. Elvira Pushkareva her views on the most pressing legal challenges of today. This was an intellectually stimulating and visually captivating exhibition that united the worlds of law and art.
